An air filter should be slightly smaller than its provided slot, but should fit snugly enough to prevent air from passing around it. The easiest way to find your replacement filter's proper size is by reading the dimensions marked on the existing filter. If there is no existing filter or if the existing filter appears to be too small or too large, we recommend using a measuring tape to most accurately gauge the size of the filter slot.
MERV 11 filters effectively trap particles down to .3 microns in size. Using this filter and changing it out regularly will keep the incidence of dust, dust mite particles, mold, fungi, pet dander, tobacco smoke particles and some types of pollens low in your home.
